People have various reasons for keeping pets. People love having them around for entertainment or leisure. Others find it relaxing to have animals around. Others find animals as a form of stress reliever.

People are now domesticating all kinds of animals. You have pigs, and even wild or exotic ones like snakes. But a dog would still be on top in the list of domesticated animals. Many people still consider pooches as their favorite animals. And they have loads of reasons why they just can’t help but say I love dogs:

• Man’s best friend-there are a lot of good reasons why canines are considered man’s best friend. These pooches are said to be very loyal pets. They are empathetic and would always want to comfort you when you are feeling sad and blue. There is no comparison the loyalty that a dog has for his master.

• Playful- dogsenjoy the company of people. Palyful breeds would be a good stress reliever. A lot of dog breeds are also child friendly which is very ideal if you have kids. They can be really good companions and can teach children a lot of good values.

• Protective-pooches are not just for display or for fun. They serve one good purpose which is protection. There are alsready so many stories of heroic canines saving their masters. They can also be good burglar alarms and can even serve as guards.

Nonetheless you have to think it over before you actually decide to have dogs. Maintenance is at the average level where you have to take them to the vet, bathe them, groom and feed them. There are some dog breeds that are very low maintenance but there are those that would require a lot of care and attention. Just weigh the pros and cons before actually deciding to get one.

Though you can’t gift love flowers to your pets, neither can a course like loveology teach you a lot about these things, you sure can shower your love on a pet if you want to.
